# Enable Analytics API

The Analytics API exposes your project's Tidio data as read-only tabular endpoints - conversations, tickets, ratings, Lyro threads and daily aggregates - so you can pull it into a warehouse, a BI tool or a spreadsheet.

**Base URL:** `https://taa.data.tidio.com`

It is a separate service from the OpenAPI (`https://api.tidio.com`), with a different base URL and a different query language, but it shares the same credentials.

## Analytics API vs. OpenAPI - which one do you need?

Both share credentials, but they're built for different jobs.

| Typical user | Data, BI, and reporting teams, or agencies | Developers connecting other systems to Tidio |

Need to write data back into Tidio instead of just reading it? Use the [OpenAPI](https://developers.tidio.com/docs/openapi-enable).

## Endpoint availability by plan

The Analytics API is available exclusively on the **Plus** and **Premium** plans.

## Enable the Analytics API

Enabling the Analytics API is the same process as enabling the OpenAPI - there is no separate switch. Follow the steps in [Enabling OpenAPI](https://developers.tidio.com/docs/openapi-enable).

Once OpenAPI is enabled for your project, the Analytics API accepts the same credentials immediately.

> Access to the `Developer > OpenAPI` section is limited to project **owners** and **admins**.
